Hello! I recently obtained my Ph.D. in Physics and Astronomy at the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) specializing in exoplanet research and machine learning algorithms. I study the links between a small planet and its host star's composition. A star and its orbiting planets form from the same material. The stellar abundance of a star provides us with an indirect approach at understanding the composition of exoplanets. For this reason, I use stellar abundance data to determine the important elements or molar ratios required for small planet detection and to calculate the likelihood of a star hosting an exoplanet.
